Germany’s next HiFi 'dream team'… Spotify and OnkyoCommuniqué de presse en date du: 13 mars 2012
It's the announcement that German music lovers have been waiting for. Today it becomes a reality: Spotify is launching its digital music service in Germany. And even more excitingly for Onkyo customers, our latest Network Home Cinema Receivers support direct Spotify access, delivering excellent sound quality into the bargain.
Better together: audio streaming of the highest quality
With over three million paying subscribers and more than 10 million active users in 13 different countries, Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services in the world. With Spotify, passionate music enthusiasts can access over 16 million of tracks, whenever and wherever they want, through the simple, easy and lightning-fast service.
Direct Spotify access via a receiver… without a PC
Owners of a Spotify-compatible Onkyo receiver* like, for example, the recently introduced Network Home Cinema Receivers TX-NR414, TX-NR515 and TX-NR616 or the Network Tuner T-4070 – need nothing more than an internet connection and a Spotify Premium account. With a few simple clicks on their remote control they’re given quick access to their own and collaborative playlists as well as Spotify’s 'What's New?' and 'Starred' features. Subscribers can explore further too, browsing browsing artists, albums and tracks – all without needing to connect a PC. Onkyo receivers with graphical onscreen displays (OSDs available on the TX-NR515 and higher models) can even show album cover art and additional available information on a connected TV screen.
Convenient remote control via smartphone
Lifestyle purists will love the ability to remote control their hardware via their smartphone. With the (free of charge) Onkyo Remote Apps for iPhone/iPod or Android they can put away their traditional remote control and just use their favorite mobile devices to access Spotify functionality, or even to simply adjust receiver settings like volume and tone.
Still on top of things – Spotify-compatible models from 2011
Owners of all our 2011 Network Receiver models (TX-NR***9), the home cinema package HT-S6405 and the Stereo Network Receiver TX-8050, can join in the fun too as their receiver models are also Spotify-compatible.
It has never been easier to discover new musical horizons or to hear one’s favourite tracks in the highest quality at home. Now Onkyo fans from Germany will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of Spotify in the comfort of their living room.
